Winslow Devern Chase of Newbridge, husband of Ramona M. (Price) Chase, passed away at his home on Monday, December 20, 2004, at the age of 78. Born at Waterville, York County, he was the son of the late William O. and Myrtle G. (Stairs) Chase. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his wife, Winslow is survived by a daughter, Valerie Palmer (Dean) of Lower Woodstock; three sons, Deverne Chase, Gary Chase (Lisa), and Rickey Chase, all of East Newbridge; four grandchildren, William and Matthew Chase, and Kara and Devon Palmer; and several nieces and nephews. Winslow was predeceased by eight brothers, Delbert, Fred, Herbert, Charles, Eldon, Fraser, Eugene, and Arnold; and by a sister, Gladys Brooks. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eric McKinnon will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date.
