Wilfred Howard Hillman of Newbridge, husband of the late Blanche Isabelle (Lowrie) Hillman, passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 03, 2005, at the age of 84. Born at South Newbridge, he was the son of the late Nelson and Sarah Jane (Tompkins) Hillman. Wilfred was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by three daughters, Susan Tapley (David) of Grafton, Cathy Bamwoya ( James ) of Porter's Lake, NS, and Ellen Hillman (Paul Brideau) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren Jason Tapley, Jamie Bamwoya, Ian Bamwoya, Edwin Bamwoya, Kevin Bamwoya, and Emmily Bamwoya; three great grandchildren, Spencer Tapley, Keaton Tapley, and Noelle Tapley; and a niece, Mary Blizzard of Fredericton. Wilfred was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Hillman; and by two sisters, Elsie Briggs and Dorothy Hillman. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating, with interment in the Lenentine Cemetery.
