Obituary

It is with much sadness that the family of Terrance Gordon Brown of Woodstock, N.B. announce his passing on September 28, 2024 at the Upper River Valley Hospital after a very brief illness at the age of 66.

Terry (Yaz) was born in Saint John, N.B. on June 8,1958 to Royce (nee McFate) and the late Robert Brown. Terry is survived by his mother, Royce, his sister Cindy (Andrew) of Woodstock, and 2 brothers, Darin (Amy) of Dieppe and Douglas (Julie) of Woodstock.  He was also an uncle to Colby, Sarah, Jessica, Keaton and Madylin and great uncle to Iyona and Mason. Terry was predeceased by his father and a brother, Gerard.

Terry was infamous, everywhere you went someone knew him by name and would speak to him. He was well known at the rink, ball parks, golf club, race track, places he spent countless hours with the people who worked and played there. As one person said "Terry was an icon in the community". Terry was best known as the biggest Red Sox fan ever to be born. He also loved the Bruins, the Patriots ,and the Celtics but there was no other team like the Red Soxs.

Resting at the Scott's Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB with visiting hours on Tuesday, October 1 from 4pm - 8pm.

The funeral will be held at Scott Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Walter Williams officiating. Interment will take place at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery following the funeral service.

If you plan on attending Terry's funeral we ask you to wear a sports jersey or T-shirt, especially any Boston one if you have one, no suits and ties.
