Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roy Frederick Cunningham, of Canterbury,NB who passed away at Carleton Manor May 18, 2017

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ellen Marie(Bell). His adored daughters, Cathy (Randy) Wilkinson, Woodstock, N B, Lois (Raymond) Carr, Canterbury, NB and Linda (Michael) Sharkey, Woodstock, NB.

He is also survived by Grandchildren, Amy Sewell, William (Melissa) Sewell, Kayla (Alex) Davidson, Andrew (Emily) Sharkey, SueEllen (Dylan) Farrell ; Great grandchildren, Lily Sewell, Sophia, Marshall, and Mia Davidson; Brother Claude(Betty) Cunnningham, Dartmouth NS and Sister in law Clara Cunningham, Canterbury, and several nieces and nephews.

Roy was predeceased by his parents Fred and Blanche (Scott) Cunningham ; brothers Ruel Cunningham and Earl Cunningham ; sister
Helen Cunningham.

Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved the outdoors and going for drives, four wheeling and fishing with the grandchildren, liked bird hunting and visiting Cathy and Randy's Cottage for boat rides, and enjoyed being with his family.

Hockey on TV was a passion, with Toronto Maple Leafs being the team!

He was employed with Charles Price Ltd, Canterbury, Phillips Construction, St George, St. Anne Nackawic Mill, and Canterbury DOT as laborer and heavy equipment operator until his retirement.

Following Cremation a Memorial Service will be held at Canterbury Holy Trinity Anglican Church on May 23 at 2 pm with visitation an hour before service at church hall. Canon Jim Irvine will be officiating.

Reception will follow at the Canterbury Seniors building.

Interment will be held at the Canterbury Cemetery at a later date.

Special Thank you to the Staff of the Carleton Manor for their good care and kindness to Roy.
