Rowena Joyce Peters of Gagetown, New Brunswick, formerly of Woodstock, passed away at the Gagetown Special Care Home on Monday, August 27, 2007, at the age of 93. Born at Meductic, she was the daughter of the late Burns Norman and Gertrude Annie (Clowes) Stairs. Rowena is survived by one sister, Norma MaGee of Gagetown; one brother, Gerald Stairs and his wife Lillian of Lower Sackville, NS; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Rowena was pre-deceased by her husband Fred Peters; three brothers, Murray Stairs, Edgar Stairs, and Ivan Stairs; and two sisters, Luella Elliott and Pearl Stairs. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Wednesday at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating, followed by cremation with interment in the Kirk Cemetery, Northampton, NB.
