Ronald Lindsay Skitch passed away suddenly on January 15, 2022, at the Upper  Valley Hospital in Waterville New Brunswick at the young age of 66 years.

Ron was born in Calgary Alberta to Gordon and Patricia Skitch. He was the fourth of five brothers whom he loved dearly.

Ronnie taught school for 25 years and was a well-respected and much-loved teacher to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He still has pictures and letters from some of his former students and never lost the joy of learning new things.

Ronnie retired in 2002 and purchased a general store in southern Alberta with Leslie who was and had always been the love of his life since the age of 19. They enjoyed very much learning the ups and downs of owning a general store with a lot of help from Ronnie's parents and brothers ( Mom found us a wholesale warehouse for much of our groceries and Ken hooked up the slurpy machine.)They moved on to Longview Alberta after 2 years of being shopkeepers to purchase a motel, next decided to move to Hartland New Brunswick again for a motel and their beloved Stormdale cottages. Ronnie always called it our own little piece of heaven on earth.

Ron and Leslie share a daughter Amber who is mother to our four wonderful grandchildren, Degen, Taylee, Shelby, and Lily who we love spending every minute can get with them. Ronnie was often seen running after them in a game of catch or searching for them during many games of hiding and seek. Ronnie never seemed to walk and ran everywhere he went to the joy and laughter of the kids. He loved throwing the football with Degen or hours spent playing video games on our numerous sleepovers.

Pa will be sadly missed and always in all our hearts but our memories will last a lifetime. We love you so very much Pa!!

Ronnie was taken very suddenly from me and far too soon. He was not just the most loving caring husband but also my best friend and soul mate. I will always miss him and grieve for all the years we will miss spending together, every minute apart was painful and I can not imagine how I will live without him. Till we are reunited forever, my love.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Leslie, daughter Amber, son Chris, step-son Keith, son in law Nick, four grandchildren Degen, Taylee, Shelby, and Lily, brothers Al (Deborah), Ken, Dave as well as a niece Christine (Mike) and nephews Steven (Stephanie), Dan (Melissa), Tim (Tara) and Mike (Karlee)

Ronnie was preceded by his father Gordon, mother Patricia, and brother Brian.
