In Loving Memory of Ronald Lionel Kearn

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Lionel Kearn, who passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of his family.

Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, family member, and friend whose greatest joy was the people he loved. Selfless to his core, he never asked for anything for himself, always putting others before himself. His unconditional love, quiet strength, and generous heart will remain with us forever.

Ron leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of more than 52 years, Winona Kearn. Their love story began as teenagers while working together at A&W, a place that remained special throughout their lives and became a cherished tradition for celebrating milestones together.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Jeffrey Kearn (Lisa Balsdon), Lisa DeNoble (Brian DeNoble), and Kevin Kearn (Rachael Storry); his beloved grandchildren, Owen DeNoble and Kyra DeNoble; his siblings, Cheryl Youldon (Paul Youldon), Danny, Michael, and Steven; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Phil.

Ron embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. Whether he was on the golf course, casting a line while fishing, or playing his guitar and singing, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a wonderful sense of humour, a quick wit, and a gift for making people laugh. He also loved entertaining, filling his home with family and friends for evenings of great food, music, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

When Ron was diagnosed with splenic marginal lymphoma, he faced every challenge with remarkable courage, resilience, and grace. Even on the hardest days, he met his illness with determination and hope, inspiring everyone around him with his strength and unwavering spirit.

While our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every memory, every song, every laugh, and every lesson Ron shared. His legacy of love, generosity, perseverance, and devotion to his family will live on in every round of golf, every fishing trip, every song sung, and every family gathering filled with laughter.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their compassionate and dedicated care.

There will be no Visitation or Service at this time.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
