Obituary

ALCORN, Robert (Bob) Everett Lawson

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, husband and brother, Robert (Bob) Everett Lawson Alcorn, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB, at the age of 74, on August 15, 2016.

He worked through his career selling, trading, driving and fixing just about anything, and he took great pride in his accomplishments.
An avid lover of boating, fishing, snowmobiling…and card tricks…Bob was warmly loved by all and had an impact on so many lives. He was inducted into the Maritime Motor Sports Hall of Fame, and was given the 2016 Wallace Kenney Initiative Award by the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.

Above all, Bob was most happy spending time with his family and friends, with his special angel, Connie, and he took particular delight in his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter Louanne (Aidan) Chamberlaine, son Andrew (Lorelle) Alcorn, daughter Michelle Alcorn; brother Carlton (Antoinette) Alcorn, sister Greta Dixon; grandchildren Kyla and Jill Chamberlaine, Emily Marshall and Zachary Alcorn.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Morley and Edith Alcorn; brother Kenneth Alcorn, and sister Doris Rogerson.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB with visitation on Wednesday Aug 17, 2016 from 6 pm – 9 pm

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm from the Woodstock Baptist Church, Rev. Leonard Cousins officiating with interment in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB.

Special thanks to Dr. McLaughlin and Sandra Rattray; and to the Extramural Nursing staff, particularly Krista Dickinson. Additional special thanks to the ER Doctors and Nurses, who were so kind and caring toward Bob, and to the many family and friends that helped care for him.

In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be made in Bob`s name to either the Alma United Cemetery, the Debec Animal Shelter, or the River Valley Cancer Support Group.

You will be deeply missed, Dad and Poppy! Thank you so much for all you gave us.
