We are sad to announce Pauline Vera Yerxa, 89, of Woodstock passed away

May 7th at the Carleton Manor which is where she had called home since

2018. Pauline was born in Woodstock on March 28th, 1935 to parents Edwin

Stephen Green and Vera Victoria Green (Dow). Pauline is predeceased by her

loving husband, James Edward Yerxa who left us October 7th, 2005. Mom and

Dad were introduced to each other in November of 1952. In January of 1957

Dad proposed, and they were married on August 16th, 1957 surrounded by

friends and family.

Pauline had an early career as a secretary, but later made her mark as a

business partner with her husband and then more importantly took on the role

as a most loving mother. Her interests changed over the years. She had been

involved with Kings Daughters, arts and craft groups, the Saint James United

Church, and the Woodstock Wheelers Square dancing club. She loved to

garden and feed the birds. She was an amazing cook and few ever left visiting

the house without having something tasty to eat.

She will be deeply missed by her children James Yerxa and Mary Green

(Andy Narrowmore); brother Terry Green; grandchildren Steven Yerxa

(Annie), Michael Yerxa (Stacey), Victoria Dow (Brandon), Spencer Green,

Bryan Green, and Ashley Green; and great-grandchildren Freya Yerxa, Isabel

Yerxa, and Greyson Dow. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and

nephews.

Due to mobility issues, Pauline made her home at the Carleton Manor in

2018. She settled well within this supportive community. The family would

like to extend a most sincere thank you to the wonderful staff of Carleton

Manor who cared so deeply for Pauline. You all consoled our hearts in these

final days and we are beyond thankful for the care she received.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9th at Scott Funeral Home from  5 pm - 8 pm,

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 10th. at 3 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel

Rev. Adekunle Adeniyi will be officiating, with interment in the  Woodstock Rural Cemetery.

If  desired, donations may  be made to Saint James United Church Stained Glass

Window Project as well as Dunroamin Stray and Rescue.
