Pauline Mae Derrah

of Woodstock, NB

Pauline Mae (Nickerson) Derrah, a resident of Woodstock, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 94.

As a young woman, Pauline studied hairdressing in Montreal, and made this her life long career. Her hobbies included knitting, ceramics, playing the piano and listing to the musical greats from her collection of LP records. She enjoyed her flower garden in the summer and watching the boats pass down the St. John River. Every Christmas her house was decked out like a winter wonderland and the grandchildren adored her musical ornaments. She was a member of the Woodstock United Baptist Church. She lived her life daily for her Lord and Savior.

Pauline was born in Grafton, New Brunswick, on July 4, 1923 to the late Russell Erwin Nickerson and Mae Emma Bragdon. Her husband, Harold Nevers Derrah, and her brother, Ceil Nickerson, predecease her.

Pauline is survived by her son Robert (Virginia) Derrah and daughter Barbara (Donnie) Robinson, both of Woodstock, NB, grand-daughter Stacy (Marty) DeLong and great-granddaughters Alyssa and Jenna, grandson Andrew Robinson, grandson Robert (Aruna) Brennan and great-grandson Rook, grand-daughter Samantha (Anthony) Parker and great-granddaughters Sarah and Alyssa, grandson Thomas Derrah, grandson Michael Derrah, grandson Murray Robinson, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Derrah.
