Obituary

It is with heavy but love filled hearts, daughters Joanne Rosevear and Pamela (Rosevear) Slipp (Robert) announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Nelma Rosevear on September 22, 2025 at Carleton Manor in Woodstock, N.B. Joining us in this announcement is her only grandchild Anthony Slipp of Woodstock,NB. as well as her great granddaughter, Annalise Hathaway, of Oromocto, N.B. We rejoice in knowing that mom is now reunited with our father, her beloved  husband, Gerald Rosevear (d. 1992), and our brother, their beloved son, Orland Rosevear (d. 1971).

The last surviving member of her immediate family, mom was born on June 6, 1930 in Upper Jacksonville, N.B.  The daughter of the late Ernest William Fox and Beumont Elizabeth (Bell) Fox she was predeceased by brothers Merle, Allison, and Marshal sisters Marjorie Currie and Lois Clark as well as a stillborn brother Eugene and infant siblings Mavis and Avis.

Nelma is also survived by a cousin and several nieces and nephews.

Mom was employed for many years at The Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, from which she retired as a Lab Assistant. In retirement as in life in general, Mom was always busy with providing a well-run, happy and inviting home for family and friends alike. In her younger years she was very involved in church and community activities in Jacksonville. In her later years when she relocated to her home in Woodstock, she kept active with renovations and her lawns and flower gardens. Although mom did not like to be idle, she could be persuaded to do a long weekend shopping trip, on occasion.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Min Street, Woodstock, NB

Her funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Robert McNutt at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, N.B.
