Obituary

It is, as Mom would want it, a joyful announcement that she Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Wiseman Doucette, has lived out her days on planet Earth. Born March 14th, 1936, (at home) Glace Bay, N.S. Hospitals were not her thing from the very beginning.  She was the third child of the large family of John W. Wiseman and Mary MacIntyre.  She is survived by

Theresa Wiseman Nutter, Bill Wiseman, Joan Wiseman Gillis, June Wiseman Thomas, and brothers deceased Bob Wiseman, Greg Wiseman, James Wiseman and Donald Wiseman.

Betty was married on May 2nd, 1959 to Joseph C. (Cy) Doucette. Their RCMP travels took them from Calgary, Drumheller, and Brooks Alberta to New Brunswick posting of Oromocto, Fredericton, Jacquet River, Saint John, and Riverview.  Cy preceded Betty on February 16th, 2018.  Three children are remembering their parents are Robert Paul Doucette (wife Lou) of Fredericton, Richard David Doucette (wife Suzanne) of Dallas, and Rayna Lynn Doucette (partner Corey) of Bedell.

"Mary E" as she was often called enjoyed learning and had achieved BA, BEd, MED, MED Counselling, and RTC.  Betty loved people and spent her life caretaking. Career included teaching, flight attendant, school counseling, therapist, private practice, and author.

Mom's quote to all of us is from Mother Theresa.

"If you want happiness the best thing you can do is to go home and love your family".

Her personal wisdom "If it is to be… It is up to me"

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main St. Woodstock, NB

There will be no Visitation or Funeral Service at this time.

Cremation services will take place at the Scott Funeral Home & Crematorium.
