Lise Jeannine Fox (Levèsque) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Saint-Quentin, NB, on October 1st, 1948, she was one of 14 siblings. After graduating from New Brunswick Teacher’s College, Lise and her husband Greg relocated to Woodstock to start their careers and begin a family. She began her career teaching French for many years, followed by working at the local school board as French Coordinator. After several years in education, Lise decided to retire and support her husband in their family business, Fox Chev Olds, until both of their retirements.

Mom enjoyed travelling and was fortunate to have experienced many trips all around the world. An avid golfer, she spent many days on the course enjoying herself with friends and family. Golfing in tournaments with our father may have been an exception! She also enjoyed theater, always learning new things, even learning how to play the violin in her 50s. Some of her greatest days were spent with Greg, her daughters Jennifer and Jill, and many close friends and family celebrating “Champaign Sundays.”

Her proudest accomplishment came when she received the title, “Grandmaman.” Lily and Macy were her pride and joy, and every moment spent with her girls made her heart swell. She often volunteered in their classrooms, baked cookies with them, and admired them as they played sports or swam in the pool. Her grand-daughters thought so highly of her that they eventually gave her a new, more hip nickname, “G-Ma.”

Lise was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Greg, in 2021. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer and Jill, her son-in-law, Darren, and her two grandchildren, Lily and Macy. She will be forever missed by her family, siblings, extended family, and special friends.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock NB

A celebration of life will be held at the Woodstock Golf and Curling Club on Sunday, August 9th from 2 pm – 5 pm. There will be a brief ceremony followed by refreshments and a chance to gather and share stories. Interment will be scheduled at a later date.
