Laurine E. Wright, 79 years, of Woodstock, NB, passed away February 6, 2019 at Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB, after a brief illness.

Laurine was born at Green Mountain, NB on April 12, 1939 the oldest of seven children.  She married Robert P. Wright on January 20, 1962. Laurine taught middle school for 35 years, beginning her career in Meductic and retiring in Woodstock in 1993.  She is remembered for her love of gardening and her 'green thumb', which could coax even the most difficult plant to thrive. Laurine enjoyed playing Bridge and was an active volunteer in Woodstock.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Mike) Trepanier of Grande Prairie, Alberta, her grandson, Randy Tollenaar, also of Grande Prairie, and two step grandchildren, Wyatt and Madison, also of Grande Prairie; siblings Eldon (Nancy) Higgs, Hayden Higgs, Faye Higgs, Dale (Sandra) Higgs, Marky Higgs and Penny Higgs; numerous nieces and nephews.

Laurine was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her parents, Laurel and Ida (Spinney) Higgs.

Resting at the Scott funeral Home 815 Main Street Woodstock, NB

Visitation will be from 1 pm - 2 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019,   before the Service begins.

A Memorial Service  will be held  on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 2 pm at the Scott Funeral Home Chapel .

Interment will be in the Hillman Cemetery.

In her memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
