Obituary

Durling, Katherine Rose; It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Katherine Rose Durling-nee McGann, at the wonderful age of 101 on Thursday, August 16th.

She was residing at Riverside Court, Woodstock, at the time of her death. She was the last surviving member of her family.   She was born in Benton, NB on June 17th, 1917. She and her late husband, Harry Durling, resided in the Village of Meductic and raised their family of four there.   In their later years, they moved to Woodstock and resided on Elizabeth Street until after Harry's death in 2003.

She was a member of Meductic United Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons,   Russell (Marian) Malagash, N.S., Paul (Joan), Pennfield, N.B., Harry (Margo) Regina, Sask, and daughter, Linda (Ken) Stairs, Richmond Corner, NB ; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores McGann, Niagara Falls, many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Alice McGann, her husband, Harry in 2003;  sisters Mary MacMillan, Agnes Kennedy, Margaret LaBonte   and brothers Francis, Lawrence, Gregory and Patrick.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB . With visitation on Monday from 1 pm until 3 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 3 pm .         Rev. Dale Greer Officiating
