Joyce E. Sewell of Pembroke, NB passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. She was 92. Joyce was the daughter of the late Guy and Gertrude (Watson) Lawson. Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Sewell.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Lori (Chris) Jones, Guelph, ON, Shirley (Kevin) McKell, Pembroke, NB, Connie (Darryl) Sanford, Liverpool, NY daughter-inlaw, Natasja Sewell: seven grandchildren, Jolynn, Hillary (Boen), Michael (Erika), Sarah (Isaiah), Victoria (Nate), Benjamin and Joy; two great grandchildren, Eli and Aria Sanford; her siblings, Willard Lawson, Carole Likely, Frank Lawson and Lloyd (Wilma) Lawson; sister-in-laws, Margaret Lawson and Ethel Sewell; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Murray (Helen) Lawson, Phil Lawson, Lois Lawson, Winston (Mary) Lawson; a son, Corry Sewell, and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Marion Lawson, John Likely, Judy Lawson, Sylvia Sewell, Gerald Sewell, and Lawrence (Laureen) Sewell.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, from 4 pm – 8 pm at the Scott Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held at the Scott Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 12 at 1 pm.

Rev. Ken Stoddard will be officiating, with interment in the Pembroke Cemetery.

If desired donations may be made to the Pembroke Cemetery, or a memorial of the donors choice.
