Born on March 17th,1935, the son of the late Peter and Dinah Hache Doucette, of Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, N.S.

Cy, retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, having served thirty-six years. He served proudly as part of the musical ride and motor cycle escort for the queen's visit.

Cy was well known in the sports circle, and an accomplished athlete in baseball, hockey and golf. As a multitalented athlete, in baseball Cy was drafted by Milwaukee Braves. In hockey, Cy won the Allen cup in Alberta, competed in the New Brunswick senior league, and coached the Dalhousie Rangers and Minor Hockey throughout the province. In golf, Cy set golf course records, won N.B. Senior Provincial Golf Champion and was well known and respected by golfers throughout the province.

Cy is survived by his wife Mary E. (Betty) Wiseman Doucette of fifty eight years; daughter Rayna Lynn Doucette, one grandson Ryson of Lakeville, N.B; son Robert Paul Doucette, wife Mary Lou, two grandsons, Brody and Braden, of Fredericton, N.B.; son Richard David Doucette, wife Suzanne, two grandsons Ryan and Adam of Dallas, Texas. Cy is survived by his loving siblings Corinne (& Earl) Andrews, Len (& Marilyn) Doucette, Bedford Doucette and Lloyd Doucette.

Cy left his mark on everyone he met without even trying.

There will be no funeral or public viewing at this time. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
