Joan Annette Rees (Thornton) of Woodstock NB passed away Sunday, January 8 ^th, 2023 at the age of 73.  Joan is survived by her three daughters Jannette (Terry) Findlater, Alberta; Loretta (Kevin) Reid, Sussex; Amanda (Gordie) Price, Woodstock, and two sons Daniel (Danielle) Rees, Ontario; John-James (Traci) Rees, Sussex. Grandchildren Samantha-Jo, Dustin, Taran (Katelynn) Austin (Shelbe), Gabriel (Hillary), Arielle, Chloe, Veronika, Bella, Dean, Lincoln, Alex, and Brendan.  Great grandchildren Emmett, Esme, and Chase.  Four brothers John (Terri-Ann), James (Gail), Jeff, Jerry (Kerri), two sisters Joyce and Janet (Irvine), and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Danny Rees, and her parents Wetmore and Edith Thornton.

Resting at Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock NB.

There will be no visitation at this time.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 2 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Walter Williams will be officiating.  Interment will be held at McKenzie Corner Cemetery at a later date.
