Irene Josephine McLaughlin of Oshawa passed away in Woodstock on Sunday, April 18, 2004. Irene is survived by a son, Derrick Stairs; a daughter Gwendolyn Stairs; 4 brothers, Alfred , David, Robert & William McLaughlin; 2 sisters, Shirley Parks and Carolyn Lewis; four grandchildren, D. J., Richard, Sara, and Shawn Stairs; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Philip M. McLaughlin, and a granddaughter Amy Irene Stairs. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from the Pembroke Baptist Church. Pastor Carl O'Donnell and Pastor Charles Johnston will be officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Pembroke Community Hall. Interment will take place at a later date in the Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Whitby, Ontario.
