Greg Irvine
Fox
Feb 17, 1948 — Mar 14, 2021
Woodstock
Gregory Irvine Fox, born February 17, 1948 in Fredericton, NB, passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Sunday, March 14 th at the age of 73.
Greg had many friends whether it was through the car dealership, the golf course or playing hockey at the rink. It did not matter where he went, he always knew someone.
He and his wife Lise, enjoyed their time together traveling with their friends golfing or traveling the world on business trips with General Motors. He loved to entertain and you could always bet he was watching the Yankees during baseball season and the Canadians during hockey season. He made some wonderful memories through sports, too many to share.
In his later years, he became more of a spectator of sports. Whether he was in his MAN CAVE watching the game on TV with Jenn, fishing with Jon or following Jill and Darren on the course, he was in his element. Lise was his biggest supporter, always right by his side.
As much as all these things brought him joy, they cannot compare to the love and joy his granddaughters, Lily and Macy, brought him. Everyone now called him Papa. He loved to watch them swim in the backyard and would attend as many of their sporting events as possible. It was unconditional love in its purest form; and that is how he will be remembered.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lise (Levesque), his daughters Jennifer Fox (Jonathan McLean), Jill Fox (Darren Farrell) and his two precious granddaughters, Lily and Macy Farrell. He leaves behind his mother, Myrtle Fox, his brother, Kent Fox, his sisters Lynn Fox and Jan Stoutamire (David) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Guy Fox.
