GLADYS EMMA PORTER (nee Simonds) age 84 years of Woodstock passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, New Brunswick.

She was born in Northampton on June 19, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Annie Simonds. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret and her brother Eldon.

She is survived by her husband Robert Irvine Porter and by her sister, Marion Anderson (Westfield-Grand Bay) and her children Joan Everett (Gordon), Carol Speer, Ralph Porter (Wanda), Janice Farrell (Edward), Sherry Twigg (Bill) and Wade Porter (Myrna-Lee) and their families. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral service was on July 28 from the Scott Funeral home Chapel. Rev. Dale MacDonald officiated with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
