George Herbert Stairs of Woodstock, husband of Margaret M. (Davenport) Stairs, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Friday, June 03, 2005, at the age of 63. Born at Wakefield, he was the son of the late Chester John and Wilda Helen (Bell) Stairs. In addition to his wife, George is survived by two daughters, Lorelei Stairs of Fredericton and Nada Bartley of Woodstock; two sons, Michael Stairs of Alberta and Mark Stairs of Woodstock; and a sister, Margaret Patterson. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Canterbury Cemetery.
