Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Fred Dickinson announces his passing at his home surrounded by his family & good friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the age of 78.  Fred was born March 23, 1940 in Southampton, NB and was predeceased by his parents Roy & Clara (Patterson) Dickinson.

Fred will be forever remembered by his children: daughter Debbie McIsaac (Stephen) of Woodstock, son Deane (Tracy) of Moncton and grandson Spencer (Meg) of Fredericton.

Fred is also survived by his loving & supportive siblings, 4 brothers and one sister: Roy (Irene) of Island View, twins Joan Sabean of Fredericton and James (Elizabeth) of Woodstock, Hugh (Susan) of Dumfries, and Edward (Terry) of Woodstock, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many "music" friends.  A special thank you to Mary for her friendship and support.

Dad was a local contractor & contributed to residential & commercial construction in Woodstock & surrounding area for 40+ years. After retirement he worked for CYV delivering cars throughout the province.  His favourite pastime was enjoying the local music nights, and he also enjoyed antique cars.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scott Funeral Home. Following Dad's wishes, there will be a private burial followed by a time to visit with the family at Scott Funeral Home from 5-8pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.   By request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Extra Mural Woodstock unit, River Valley Cancer Support Group or Woodstock Baptist Church Building Fund.

We would like to extend our sincere thank you to the Extra Mural program (for answering Dad's many questions), and Dr. Parveen & Dr Gillis-Doyle as well for their excellent support and compassionate care over the past few months.
