MACFARLANE, Edith Ruth - of Woodstock passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Monday, February 13, 2012, at the age of 96.

Edith was the daughter of the late Sterling and Idella (Lawrence) Kirkbride. She is survived by son, Maurice MacFarlane (Anne) of Uxbridge, Ontario, daughters Muriel Hamilton (Dale) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Audrey Briggs (Weldon) of Oakville, Ontario; daughter in-law Theo MacFarlane of Kentville, Nova Scotia; sisters Georgie Morse of Woodstock, and Winona Coleridge of Centreville; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Edith was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; son Arnold and his children Eric and Cheryl; sisters, Freda McLean; Norma Stairs and infant Olga Kirkbride; brother Earl Kirkbride.

Funeral service was held on February 15, 2012 from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dr. Ronald McLean officiated, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date.
