STAIRS, Allen  *Edison* - of Woodstock passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the age of 85.

Ed is survived by two sons Allen E. Stairs (Cathrine Nelson) of Takoma Park, MD; Peter J. Stairs ( Phyllis C. Daigle) Woodstock, NB; three grandchildren Geoffrey Allen Stairs,  Alexander Edison Prins-Stairs & Jenelle Elizabeth Prins-Stairs; one brother Conard Stairs; two nephews Gary Stairs & Glenn Stairs.

Ed was predeceased by his parents Earl & Ethel (Corey) Stairs; and his wife Lois.

The funeral service was held on October 14, 2010 from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiated with  interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
