Obituary

ROSEVEAR, Dorothy May - of Upper Woodstock, NB passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital on Sunday, February 05, 2017, at the age of 89.

Dorothy was born Holmesville, NB on May 1, 1927, daughter of the late Hanford and Helen (Lockhart) Broad. She is survived by 6 daughters, Doreen Antworth (Dale) of Rosedale,NB, Marilyn Rosevear (Maurice) of Richmond Settlement, NB, Darlene Hall of Sussex, NB Cristal Rosevear of Sussex, NB, Betty Kitchen of Woodstock, NB and Sherry Samson (Richard) of Pembroke, Ont; one son Larry Rosevear (Ricky) Beardsley, NB. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husband Dennis Rosevear, son Bradley Rosevear, 1 brother Norman Broad, and 3 sisters Julia Broad, Rita Draper and Leota Hawthorne; one grand son Aaron Samson; son in-law Ted Kitchen and son in-law Randy Hall.

Considered New Brunswick's patron Saint of Fostering, Dorothy Rosevear has provided a mother's love for 50 years to more than 800 children.

Dorothy is resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Matthew Little will be officiating, with interment in the Upper Waterville Cemetery at a later date.

If so desired, donations may be made to the Upper Waterville Cemetery or the River Valley Cancer Support Group.
