Donald Edward McArthur of Lower Woodstock, husband of the late Marilyn Rose (Hall) McArthur, passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at the age of 81. Born at Lower Woodstock, he was the son of the late William Edward and V. Anna (Nicholson) McArthur. Don is survived by a son, Bill McArthur and his wife Gail Lord of Montreal, QC; three sisters, Katherine Bragdon of Lower Woodstock, Mildred Maddon of Ontario and Faye Adams of North Carolina. Don is also survived by two brothers, William McArthur of British Columbia, and Lloyd McArthur of Hartland; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph; Paul and Lewellyn. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. The Venerable Walter Williams will be officiating, with interment in Christ Church Cemetery, Lower Woodstock, at a later date.
