Dianna Marie Tomah (Briggs) aged 73 yrs passed away Monday, Nov 14 @ URVH Waterville, NB. Survived by her sons Matthew R. Tomah / Joseph E. Tomah Daughter in Law Andrea Tomah (Henderson) her 12 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren.
Pre-deceased by husband Raymond J. Tomah/ son Shawn Tomah her Parents Eugene Briggs & Mona (Sherwood-Briggs ) later Mona Dickenson. As well as her Brother Raymond Briggs.
Dianna was raised on the family Dairy farm in Lindsay NB. She spoke fondly about her whole life with her siblings and Grandparents and the daily chores and work there growing up. Dianna was well known for her work ethic and willingness to attempt any challenge that required a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
An avid animal lover she was known for her love of dogs and horses. Like her brother Raymond Briggs, she loved to fish.
After marriage to Ray Tomah and a brief time in the USA for Raymond's work in the early 70s, Dianna settled with her family at Woodstock First Nation and soon became a much-beloved member of the community there. Her home was always a refuge for many of the communities children & youth. She shared meals barbered and did hair for many WFN children & Ray's family and all community members or friends that came into their home over the many years. Well known for her cooking she later in life ran the kitchen @ Eagles nest which was much appreciated by all the patrons there.
She was beloved by all her Family as well as ALL that had the privilege to know or work with her.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov 16, 2022, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Scott Funeral Home.
The memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov 19, 2022, at 11 am from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel.
The interment will be in the Lindsay Community Cemetery.
