Obituary

Dennis Marchand  was born in Kinston, Ontario January 31, 1949.

As a young man, Dennis moved out west stopping in Edmonton before arriving in British Columbia. He spent several seasons working in the Arctic on the dry dock in Tuktoyuktuk before he went to work on the tugs on the Arrow Lakes in Nakusp, BC where he met his wife of 43 years, Valerie.

It was soon there after than Dennis and his young family moved to Sidney on Vancouver Island where he worked for many years on the harbour tugs in Esquimalt, BC.

On retirement he moved to Woodstock, NB to be with family. Dennis was an avid horse racing fan, especially standardbred where he spent many hours of enjoyment following the races.

He loved both hockey and baseball and was a loyal fan of the Blue Jays and the Canucks. Dennis is predeceased by his mother (Cecelia), father (Leo) and two brothers (James & Frank). He is survived by his wife (Valerie), 2 daughters (Kyla & Meghan) and 5 grandchildren (Russell, Nya, Anna & Logan & Carson); 3 sisters (Margaret, Pat  & Mary Ellen). Dennis will be sadly missed by all.

Dennis is resting at the Scott Funeral Home,  815 Main Street. Woodstock, NB

There will be no Visitation or Funeral Service at this time.

A Private internment Service will be held at a later date.

If desired donations may be made to the  NB Lung Association in Memory of Dennis.
