LEIGHTON, Della Marlene - of Woodstock, formerly of Benton NB, passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the age of 72.

Della is survived by two sons, Merlin Leighton, and  Richard Shaw;  two daughters Marlene Wineburg, and Sheila Henderson; four sisters Nora Henderson, Glenna Oxner, Winona  (Elbert) Ritchie, Mabel Shaw; two brothers Roger ( Theresa) Way, Meredith Way; one sister-in law Sharon Way;  twelve grandchildren;  two great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

Della was predeceased by her parents Burns and Edna (Grant) Way; husband George Leighton; four sisters Hazel Price, Faith Christie, Erma Groose, and Ethel Morelli; three brothers Jasper Way, Cole Way,and Seth Way.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB. with a private visitation and funeral service. Rev. Luke Weaver will be officiating with  interment in the Benton Community cemetery at a later date. If desired donations may be made to the Benton Community Cemetery.
