MACQUARRIE, Darrell Raymond - of Woodstock, NB passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Friday, February 10, 2012, at the age of 66.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife Joan (Porter) MacQuarrie of forty one years; one son, Jeffrey MacQuarrie (Jennifer) of Moncton, NB; one daughter, Jill Meek (Shawn) of Fredericton, NB; adored grandchildren, Kristin MacQuarrie, and Coen MacQuarrie and expected baby Meek. Darrell is also survived by one brother, Dale MacQuarrie (Janet) of Woodstock, NB; two sisters, Barbara Carson (Terry) of Saint John, NB, and Janet Lint (Phillip) of Saint John, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Darrell was pre-deceased by his parents Raymond and Thelma (Clowes) MacQuarrie.

Darrell MacQuarrie, better known as 'Bear', had a great passion for living life to its fullest. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities - golfing, playing cards, music, following his kids in sports, taking winter trips to Florida with Joan, going to Fenway to watch the Red Sox with Jeff, making cd's and listening to music with Jill and playing with his grandchildren.
What was most important to him was spending quality time with his family and socializing with his friends.
He was well known for his kindness and generosity, always putting others ahead of himself. Darrell's heart was certainly big and whether it was a small favor or a larger committment, we could always count on him being there.
We will always remember Darrell as a loving husband and father, adoring grandfather, and friend to all. We will miss him dearly and will love him forever

The funeral service was held on February 14, 2012 from the Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Cousins officiated.
