Daniel Douglas Schriver passed away peacefully at York Care Center on January 25, 2024. Daniel was the son of the late Tracey and Catherine (Darroch) Schriver.

Daniel was a 30-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and retired with the rank of Warrant Officer in 1988. He lived and worked a peaceful life in Oromocto and was known by others as a quiet and friendly man dedicated to his family, who loved building furniture for his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Farrell) Schriver; children Ray (Lori), Mark (Mary), Darlene Vincent (Donnie), and Dale (Sylvie); grandchildren Robin, Evan, Andrew, Daniel, Matthew, Joshua, Katie, Alex, David, Justin, and Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren. He is survived by sister Elizabeth Knowles and brother Ronald and predeceased by brothers and sisters John (Albion), Mary, Eldon, Owen, Carle, Winston, Tracey Jr., and Carolyn.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB.

Visitation on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 10 am-12 noon. The  Graveside funeral service will be held at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2 pm
