Clara May Hatfield of Woodstock, NB passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Carleton Manor at the age of 96.

Daughter of the late George and May Langin. Clara is survived by son Dwayne (Pamela) Hatfield of Wicklow, NB. Daughter Lesley Johnson, Bedford, NS. Grandchildren Erin Hatfield, Craig Hatfield, and Amy Johnson. Four great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Harold Hatfield on May 5, 2012. And daughter Mary Jane Hatfield on Aug 24, 2017

Mom started working as a young woman at Stedman's in Woodstock.  She and Dad were married on October 9, 1948.  She was a stay-at-home mom to Dwayne, Lesley, and Mary Jane, as well as the kids in the neighborhood that needed a cookie. Mom loved to snowmobile.  Her winter passion was to leave the house on Cambridge Street and meet her many snowmobile friends for an afternoon "run".  The last couple of winters she often asked the staff at the manor to find her a snowmobile.

She supported Dad in all his many activities and in his insurance business.  Later years she started her own dog grooming business.  She volunteered at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in the gift shop and was an active member of the King's Daughters. Together they raised many litters of pups, had several hunting dogs that were part of the family, and had many wonderful holidays. Always the animal lover. The family would like donations to the animal shelters or Carleton Manor Foundation.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB Due to the present covid conditions there will not be visitation or Funeral Service at this time.
