Chester Ronald DeMerchant of Lower Woodstock, husband of Doris N. (McCarty) DeMerchant, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at the age of 64. Born at North Lake, he was the son of the late Percy and Henrietta (Harvey) DeMerchant. In addition to his wife, Chester is survived by a son, Michael DeMerchant (Alta) of Elmwood; a daughter, Brenda Conrad (Erin) of Richmond Corner; a brother, Richard DeMerchant (Catherine) of St. Stephen; five grandchildren, Joseph, Beckey, Caitlyn, Nicholas, and Adam; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel.
