DONOVAN, Charles William - It is with great sadness and loss that the family announce the passing of Charles Donovan of Woodstock, NB on January 22, 2012 at the age of 89 years.

Charlie was born in Canterbury, NB, on October 28, 1922, son of the late Harry and Mary (Collins) Donovan. He is survived by his Wife Catherine G. (Flemming) Donovan; one son Thomas Donovan and his wife Elizabeth Beale of Halifax, NS; three daughters, Mary Donovan of Pickering, Ont. Nancy Lemieux and her husband Gilles of Sherbrooke, PQ; and Barbara Hall and her husband Jeffrey of Pickering, Ont.; He is also survived by one sister, Patricia Keilty and her husband Richard, sisters-in law, Theresa Donovan and Jean-Marie Donovan of Woodstock, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Charles was pre-deceased by daughter Susan, two brothers Gerald and Paul Donovan and one sister Gertrude Karnes and brother-in law Kenneth Karnes.

The funeral service was held on January 25th from the St. Gertrude's Catholic Church. Father John Keoughan officiated, with interment in the Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
