Catherine Frances Sewell of Rosedale, wife of the late Ernest Lawrence Sewell, passed away at Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Friday, March 9, 2007, at the age of 85. Born at Simonds, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Samuel and Minnie Isabel (Cook) Clark. Catherine is survived by three sons, Paul (Myrtle) Sewell of Rosedale, Allen (Joyce) Sewell of Rosedale, and J. Richard (Peggy) Sewell of Rosedale; two daughters, Laura (Stephen) Lawrence of Brooks, AB, and Diane (Dale) Harris of Oshawa, ON; grandchildren; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Dalton Clark; Wendell Clark; Mansfield Clark; Eugene Clark; and one sister Mariam Havens. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fred Hanson will be officiating, assisted by Rev. Harold Luff, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date.
