Catherine Frances Cole of Woodstock, wife of the late Arnold Cole, passed away at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the age of 91. Born at Torbay, Newfoundland, she was a daugher of the late James Joseph and Mary Ann (Thorne) Lacey. Catherine is survived by a son, Alvah Cole of Meductic; three daughters, Anita Smith (Ellsworth) of Winnipeg MB; Lois Steele (Jim) of Quispamsis, NB: and Mary Ferguson (Mike) of Moncton, NB; one sister, Mary Bordigan of California; two brothers, Joseph Lacey and Ronald Lacey, both of Newfoundland; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Catherine was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Hél ne (Pelletier) Cole; two sisters, Rita Lacey, Isabel Farrell; five brothers, William, Augustine, James, Alex and Jack Lacey. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church. Father Bill Brennan will be the Celebrant, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.
