Hayden, Carrie Lydia
Surrounded by her family, the death of Carrie Lydia Hayden occurred peacefully at Carleton Manor on December 12, 2017. Carrie was born on September 25, 1923 in Belleville NB, the daughter of the late Harold and Nita (Wilson) McBride.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Ivan, with whom she shared seventy -five years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Robert (Elaine) of Sooke BC, Richard (Lynne) of Scottsdale AZ, Brian (Susan) of Woodstock NB, and Brent (Pamela) of Lake City FL, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, sister Greta Fream, of Calgary AB, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Murray, sister Irma Parker, brother-in-law Donald Parker, and brother-in-law, John Fream, granddaughter, Amanda Reynolds and great granddaughter, Grace Reynolds.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of Carleton Manor for the outstanding care and compassion shown to Carrie while she made her home there.
Funeral service will be held from Saint James United Church, Woodstock, on Sunday December 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Debra Baker officiating.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the church at 2 p.m. for a time to share memories prior to the funeral. Please join us for a celebration of Carrie's life immediately following the funeral, at the home of Brian and Susan Hayden.
Internment to take place at St. Mark's Church at Jackson Falls.
