The passing of Carmelle Odette McLaughlin Renouf occurred at her home in Woodstock, NB on October 16, 2016.

"Mel" was born on May 17, 1956 in Saint Sauveur, NB. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Rosalbas (Doucet) McLaughlin.

She worked various positions throughout her lifetime, her main employment being home care as a Red Cross home maker.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, indoor gardening, cooking, spending time with friends and family and was a lover of and advocate for animals.

She was proud to be a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and celebrated her 16th "Sober Birthday" in February of 2016. She made lifelong friends there whom she valued and they were a great support to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Martin (Ryan) Oromocto, whom she loved deeply,

Marcel (Helen) Geary, NB, Maurice (Debbie) Miramichi, NB, Bernard (Patsy) Geary, NB, Gilbert (Francine) Geary, NB, Gildard (Janet) Oromocto, NB, Arnold (Sandra) Fredericton, NB, many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles.

Besides her parents, Carmelle was predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Clifford, brother in law Roger Durepos, nephews Danny McLaughlin, Corey McLaughlin and niece Nicolle Chase.

Visitation will take place at Scott's Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB on Wednesday, October 19 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will also be held at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2 pm. Father John Keoughan officiating with Interment at a later date.
