The death of Betty Olive Scott of Debec, wife of Thomas Scott, occurred on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. Born at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Benn) Yetton. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by two sons, Andrew (Andy) Scott and his wife Agnes, and Peter K. Scott and his wife Angie, all of Debec; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Alicia; a special sister, Margaret Porter of Woodstock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM from St. John's United Church, McKenzie Corner. Rev. Beverly Brazier will officiate, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
