Beryl Mae Scott of Woodstock, NB passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, at the age of 86.
Born in Dow Settlement on August 11, 1938, Beryl was the daughter of the late Donald and Vera (Johnson) Durling. Survived by her husband, Robert, Son Richard Scott (Heather), daughter Sherrill McCarthy (Darren); grandchildren Andrew Scott (Siobhan McKillop), Kathryn Scott; two brothers Floyd Durling and Clifford Durling (Joan); two sisters Stella Demerchant (Byron), Barbara Grant (Richard); brother-in-law Alton Scott (Karen), and sister-in-law Ruth Clark.
Besides her parents Beryl was predeceased by four sisters, Freda English (Claude), Mona Delong (Lloyd), Zella Campbell (Pat), Joyce Graham (Lawrence); a sister-in-law, Ruth Durling; a brother-in-law George Clark; as well as three nephews, Chris Delong, Scott Durling, Jamie Durling.
The loss we feel today as her family is great, and we will carry her in our hearts and minds forever. She can never be replaced in our lives.
She was a faithful member of the Woodstock Baptist Church, Loving GOD and Loving each other. We hold on to the faith she has, to hold us together in our loss,
Beryl was the center of her family, loving and giving of her time to others; her grandchildren, and what they were doing in their lives gave her a sense of love and peace within.
She began her career days as an Operator Supervisor with NBtel, she also spent several years as a dental assistant for Dr. Doug Arnold. As time passed she continued working with her husband at Scott Funeral Home, answering calls, and being the reception Hostess.
During her struggle with dementia, she was supported by her niece Pam Campbell Rochan, and the Staff at Riverside Court. Thank you!, for your care and support.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street Woodstock, NB. with visitation on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
The Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev. Craig Woodcock officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
If desired donations may be made to Canadian Baptist Ministries – Global Field Staff (Kathryn Scott, granddaughter).
