It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benangaria "Benny" Hutton (née Minard), who left us peacefully on August 19, 2025, at the age of 78. Benny was a beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, warmth, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Born on September 10, 1946, Benny lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She was the cherished spouse of Dwight Leighton and a loving mother to her children: Gord Hutton (Karen), Rob Hutton, and Debbie Ivey (Dana). Benny is also deeply mourned by her stepchildren: Chad, Jeff, and Matthew Leighton, as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Benny was predeceased by her parents, John and Mavis Minard, and her brothers Benangrad and David and stepson Jerry Leighton. Her memory will be carried forward by the many who loved her, and she will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she brought to every room she entered.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB   A private family service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

A Celebration of Life (Public) will follow on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (in Woodstock).  Everyone Welcome !

Benny will be laid to rest at Jacksonville Cemetery.

Benny's love will live on forever, and she will be deeply missed.
