GRANT, Basil David - of Woodstock, NB, passed away at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock on Monday, September 10, 2012, at the age of 88.

Basil is survived by two sons, Leon Grant, Litchfield, Conn. and Allison Grant (Rose) of Richmond Corner; two daughters, Bonnie O'Blenis (David) Riverview, NB, Lucille Grant (Lynwood) of Bedell; one brother, Ervine Grant (Shirley) of Silverwood; one sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Walker of Woodstock; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Bertha McGirr of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Basil was pre-deceased by his parents Ezra and Grace (Bagley) Grant; his wife Frances; sister-in-law Ruth McGirr; and brother-in-laws Karl Walker, and Angus McGirr.

The funeral service was held on September 13, 2012 from the Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Cousins officiated, with interment in the Lenentine Cemetery.
