CARPENTER, Avis Ingraham - of Woodstock passed away at Carleton Manor in Woodstock on Monday, November 21, 2005, at the age of 86. Avis is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Carpenter of Woodstock; a grandson, Michael Carpenter (Wanda) of Weston; two granddaughters, Shelley Palmer (Joe) of Woodstock, and Rebecca Lappage (Corey) of Weston; six great grandchildren, Misty and Brandon Carpenter, Alison and Thomas Clowes, and Cody and Connor Lappage; two sisters, Marion Stokoe of Woodstock and Eva Craig of Jacksontown; and several nieces and nephews. Avis was predeceased by her husband Jasper Carpenter; one son, Clinton Carpenter; two daughters, Idella Ann Carpenter and Sharon Ruth Carpenter; and a brother, Allison Porter. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Tuesday from 6-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Goodfellow will be officiating, with interment in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
