Arthur Wright passed peacefully on September 23, 2025, at Waterville Hospital, surrounded by family, at the age of 96. Born September 9, 1929, in Debec, New Brunswick, he is survived by his brother Russell; his children Edwina (Leonard), Joan, Lezlie (Jonathan), and Jay (Shannon); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary, son Joseph, and grandchildren Joshua and Jonah Gomes.

Arthur will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, devotion to family, and lifelong love of the outdoors. He took great pride in his many gardens and was especially honored by the numerous awards he earned at the Fredericton Exhibition for his remarkable green thumb.

He showed his love through sharing of his garden produce as well as through the handcrafted gifts that he and Mary created together.  His grandchildren will remember him for their many fishing adventures together, the pumpkin patch where they could find special pumpkins engraved with their names, and the garden forts he lovingly built for them. Those blessed to have tasted his amazing baked beans will agree that they perfectly complemented Nana's homemade rolls.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB,  where Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept 25, 2025 from 6 pm – 8 pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Sept 26, 2025  at 1 pm, at the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Craig Woodcock will be officiating, with Interment in the McKenzie Corner Baptist Cemetery.
