In Loving Memory of Anthony Kenneth Richard

August 30, 1951 – September 30, 2026

With heavy hearts, we share the peaceful passing of Anthony Kenneth “Tony” Richard on September 30, 2026, at Carleton Manor in Woodstock, New Brunswick, with his two daughters lovingly by his side.

Tony was predeceased by his cherished wife, Barbara Joan “Barbie” Richard, and his son-in-law, Mark Tomah. He leaves behind his daughters, Caressa Knox and Deanna Knox, who will forever treasure being “his girls.” He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren—Brittney Tomah, Whitney Knox, Joshua Smith (Laura), Harley Knox (Sydney), Patrick Smith, Samuel Knox (Katie), RaeAnna Wheelan, and Zachary Knox (Kayla)—and his great-grandchildren: Liam, Amelia, Autumn, Ellie, Fjola, and Alex. Tony’s love for family was limitless, and his legacy will continue through each of them for generations to come.

Tony had a presence you simply couldn’t miss and a laugh that could brighten any room. His stories, humor, and unmistakable spark left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was the kind of man who helped others without hesitation—whether they were lifelong friends or complete strangers—and his kindness reached farther than he ever realized.

A creative spirit lived in everything Tony touched. Whether painting, woodburning, or exploring the newest piece of technology he couldn’t wait to show off, he approached life with curiosity and joy. Yet nothing grounded him more than the simple freedom of a motorcycle ride. The open road was his sanctuary—a place where peace, calm, and gratitude wrapped around him like the wind on his face. He could talk about bikes for hours, reliving moments when the world seemed to fall away, leaving only the steady hum of the engine and the feeling of being completely alive.

Above all else, Tony’s heart belonged wholly and forever to his beloved Barbie. The divine love he carried for her was the kind of love that few ever experience on this earth—pure, unwavering, and extraordinary. We find comfort in imagining the moment they were reunited, riding side by side once more as they crossed into God’s eternal kingdom, continuing their sacred Dance along heaven’s gentle, sandy shores for all eternity.

Tony’s faith was not just part of his life—it was the very heartbeat of it. He praised God in every season, in every blessing, and in every trial, giving thanks with a sincerity that inspired everyone around him. His belief in God was deep, unwavering, and joyfully lived out loud. Tony carried the ministry wherever he went, sharing God’s love through his words, his kindness, and the way he treated others. To know Tony was to see a man who walked faithfully with the Lord and devoted his life to lifting others closer to Him.

With full hearts, the family extends sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Carleton Manor for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed Tony. Their love for him grew as naturally and deeply as that of his own family, and they came to cherish him as one of their own. For this, the family remains forever grateful.
