Ann Louise Egan 

March 3, 1937 – June 23, 2026

Ann Louise Egan, age 89, passed away on June 23, 2026. Born on March 3, 1937, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, Ann spent her childhood in the town she loved and ultimately returned to after raising her family. Woodstock and the beautiful St. John River always held a special place in her heart, and she found great joy in living once again among the landscapes and community that shaped her early years.

Ann was the daughter of Mary and Norman Palmer and was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Ruth Culbert. She is survived by her sister, Jane Purvis.

Ann is also survived by her former husband, Jerome "Jerry" Egan. Although they were no longer married, Ann never cared for the term "ex-husband" and affectionately referred to Jerry as her "Y," a reflection of the enduring bond, respect, and affection they shared throughout their lives.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Michael Jerome Egan and his wife, Amy, and Jane Michelle Egan-Erbe and her husband, Billy. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Laine, Avery, Lucy, and Eliza, each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride.

Throughout her life, Ann embraced both caring for others and pursuing her own dreams. She worked as a nurse and later became an entrepreneur, opening her own gift store in her fifties. Her creativity, determination, and keen eye for beauty made the venture a natural extension of who she was.

Ann had an extraordinary talent for design and color. She could transform a space into something warm, elegant, and inviting, and her home was a reflection of her artistic spirit—a showcase of beautiful things thoughtfully chosen and lovingly arranged. Friends and family often admired her ability to create beauty wherever she went.

She was also a devoted dog lover, and her beloved Scruffy held a special place in her heart.

More than anything, Ann will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, her independent spirit, and her deep love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of beauty, resilience, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
