It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Amy Parker, of Woodstock, New Brunswick.

She was born on April 23, 1922 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late J.V. and Adela Hansen. She grew up in New Denmark and graduated from high school in Grand Falls in 1939. She was supported in a family with love, laughter and solid roots in the community.

She was married to the late Ervin Larsen for 18 years and lived on a farm in Lakeville until his accidental death on February 3, 1960. Mom was no stranger to work and took on the task a raising her family of 4 children, ensuring that we were successful in school and had the values to support us in life.

Mom found love again and married Lloyd Parker in 1964 and we moved to Woodstock. Unfortunately she was widowed again in 1969. Lloyd was the love of her life; they laughed, they danced and worked together to maintain a happy family.

Mom lived in a common law relationship with Arnold Graham until his passing in 2002. These past years she resided in Riverside Court.

Many people will remember Mom as the cashier at the Save Easy store, where she worked for over 20 years.

She was pre deceased by her brother Cecil Hansen and survived by her sister Aleta Brinkman (Toronto), and by her 4 children, Milton (Sandy) Larsen (Halifax), Judith (Laurie) McNeill (Halifax), June Taylor (Baddeck) and Donna (Paul) Jamieson (Baddeck), 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held At the Scott Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11 am.

Rev. Shirley Noseworthy will be Officiating with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
