SCHWEITZER, A. Eugene Schweitzer - of Woodstock, NB passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at the age of 84.

Eugene was born in Highgate, Ontario Sept 17, 1931, son of the late John and Emily (Wright) Schweitzer.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, one son James (Marlene) Schweitzer of Toronto, Ont. Step-children, Ross Grant of Fredericton, NB, Calvin (Lois) Grant of Fredericton, NB, Joyce (Byard) Smith of Fredericton, NB and Shirley (Sam) Galloway of Woodstock, NB. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Eugene was predeceased by his first wife Shirley Schweitzer and one brother, Wayne Schweitzer.

Visitation will be held at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00pm, from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leonard Cousins will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
