Allen Clair McGuire of Woodstock, husband of B. Jean (Bishop) McGuire, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Wakefield on April 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee and Rose Mae (Taylor) McGuire. Clair was formerly employed as an auto salesman with Fox Chev Olds for several years. In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by three sons, Rickey McGuire (Darlene) of Woodstock, Gregory McGuire (Carlene) of Deerville, and Mark McGuire (Karen) of Jacksonville; a sister, Nina Clark of Wakefield; a brother, George McGuire (Sylvia) of Woodstock; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm .The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fred Snyder will officiate, with interment to follow in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to NB Heart & Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
